What Verified means on an activity record

Every entry in Activity is written once and linked to the one before it by a fingerprint, so altering or removing one would break the chain that follows. The Record column shows which entries still hold.

What you'll need
  • The Audit Logs module visible in your left-hand navigation.
  • Audit Logs visible to your role, and at least one entry recorded in your workspace.

If Audit Logs isn't in your navigation, your role doesn't have visibility for it — ask a workspace administrator, or see Permissions and module visibility.

Steps

  1. Select the menu button at the header’s top left, then Audit Logs under Available Apps. The page is headed ActivityImmutable record of all actions within your tenant.

  2. Narrow the feed with the filter pills, the time range or Search by name — see finding an entry.

  3. On a wide window the fifth column is Record. An entry whose chain holds shows a shield icon and Verified; a cell with nothing to show is left blank.

  4. Point at Verified for its tooltip: This record is hash-chained and cannot have been altered.

  5. Where the row has a chevron, select it and note Reference — the id support needs to find this entry.

What success looks like

  • A shield icon and Verified in the row’s Record column.
  • A tooltip reading This record is hash-chained and cannot have been altered.

What Verified does and does not prove

It speaks for one entry: that record has not been altered since it was written. There is no check for you to run — Activity has no workspace-wide verification and no chain report. Nor does it mean the action succeeded; failures are recorded too, and carry a red dot in the Event column.
