Reading your workspace activity
Audit Logs opens on Activity — one list of what happened in your workspace, newest first. Narrow it, then expand the entry you want.
- The Audit Logs module visible in your left-hand navigation.
- At least one recorded event — a brand-new workspace has nothing to show yet.
If Audit Logs isn't in your navigation, your role doesn't have visibility for it — ask a workspace administrator, or see Permissions and module visibility.
Steps
Select the menu button at the top left, then Audit Logs under Available Apps. The page reads Loading… until the first entries arrive.
Four pills sit on the left: Everything (selected by default), Documents, Processing and Configuration. Only one applies at a time, and choosing one returns you to the first page.
Select the Time range button, then Any time, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days or Last 30 days. For anything else, fill From and To under Custom range and select Apply — each takes a date and a time to the minute, in your own timezone, so this is not a whole-day picker. Leave either end empty for an open range; Clear returns you to Any time.
Type in Search by name to match a document, extractor or queue by name — it applies shortly after you stop typing, not on every keystroke. Newest first toggles to Oldest first.
The columns are When, Event, Item, Who and Record, where Verified marks a hash-chained entry. Select the chevron at the end of a row to expand it in place — the chevron is there only when the entry recorded extra detail.
Paging sits below the list: Rows per page (10, 20, 50, 100) with Previous and Next, and no page numbers. Nothing reloads on its own — select Refresh to pull in anything newer.
What success looks like
- The count below the list matches your filter — for example Showing 1–20 of 214 events.
- An expanded entry lists only what it recorded — Destination, Fields, Version, Pages, Size, File type, Visibility or Source — and always ends with Reference.
- A failed entry carries a red dot beside its Event sentence. There is no outcome column and no badge anywhere in the list.
On a narrow screen
Below large-screen widths a row collapses into one stacked column and the column headers disappear. The same values are there in the same order, with the chevron last.
If something goes wrong
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No activity yet for this filter. | Nothing matched. This is a result, not an error. | Select Everything, set Any time, and empty the search box. |
| The start must be before the end. | From is later than To, so Apply stays disabled. | Correct either end. Until you do, the list is not filtered by time at all. |
| Could not load your activity. Check your filters and try again. | The request was refused. | Select Refresh; if it persists, shorten or remove your search term. |
| Who reads A user in your workspace. | Names come from Access Control, and this one could not be resolved — often the person has been removed. | Nothing to fix here; the entry itself is unaffected. |
| Access Forbidden — You don't have necessary permission — in place of the page. | Your role cannot read your workspace's activity. | Ask a workspace administrator — see Permissions and module visibility. |
