Connecting the pieces
Each component works on its own; workflows break at the joins. Every join is made from the receiving end, and the orchestrator must exist first — a document is always uploaded or imported into one.
Connector to orchestrator
Open the orchestrator in IntelieDocs, select Import Channels in its left rail, then tick the connector in the Import Channels Selected dropdown. Only connectors that are Active and Connected are listed. There is no Save: the join is live once that row's ACTION cell reads Disconnect — a new row reads Connect until you select it. Prove it with Fetch now. Steps: Binding an import connector.
Orchestrator to review
Nothing waits for a person unless you ask it to. On a Smart Extract or Smart Classes, turn on Review Required from Edit Settings on Overview. A Smart Redact has the same switch — on its create page under Redaction Behavior, and afterwards on Overview; a Smart Queue has none. The join is live when documents stop on Waiting for Review rather than Completed — see Orchestrator basics and Sign off and re-run.
Orchestrator to export
Same orchestrator, Export Channels tab, Export Channels Selected dropdown — bind as many connectors as you need, and look for Disconnect again. Only documents that have cleared review are collected, so a signed-off one should move to Exporting or Queued for Export, then Exported. Steps: Binding an export connector.
Connector to knowledge base
The same import connectors feed a knowledge base, joined on its Sources tab: Manage connectors on the IntELIEKonnect tile, then Connect. Set Access metadata before saving — a connector carries no permissions of its own. It is live when the row reads Connected with Enabled on, and pulled documents land on Documents badged IntELIEKonnect; a file you add by hand is badged Manual upload and ingests once. See Sources.
If something goes wrong
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Fetch started, but nothing reaches the orchestrator. | The connector is bound to nothing, so what it collects is consumed and never fetched again. | Attach it — channels. |
| Documents reach Completed without stopping for anyone. | Review Required is off on that orchestrator. | Basics · Smart Redact |
| Documents finish; nothing is delivered and no error appears. | No export channel attached, or its row still reads Connect. | Export channels |
| A source reads Connected, but answers never cite its documents. | The Access metadata stamped on them excludes the asker. | Access |
