What your role can see

Your role decides what Elie will do for you, not what you can see. Almost every app stays in the menu whatever you are entitled to, so a missing permission surfaces as an error on the page, not as a gap in the navigation.

The menu is not a guide to your access

Open Available Apps and the list barely changes with your role: Access Control, Audit Logs, IntelieDocs, IntelieKonnect and Knowledge Base are listed for every signed-in user. Voice IntELIEgence is the one exception — when it is not enabled for you, its row is absent and its address redirects to Access denied.

Everywhere else the page opens first and asks the server second — and the server decides, request by request, whether to answer.

What being under-entitled looks like

  • The page's main list or record is refused: you get the 403 screen — Access Forbidden, You don't have necessary permission to view this resource. — inside the workspace, with the top bar still in place.
  • A supporting request is refused — a drop-down, a panel, a count: it comes back empty, with no message.

Being refused never signs you out.

Refused, or genuinely empty?

Checking what you hold

Your profile lists your Roles, Departments and Groups, all read-only: open the profile menu at the right of the top bar and select Account Settings. What each role grants is defined in Access Control — and if that page refuses you, that is itself a permission you do not hold. Only a workspace administrator can change either; name the page and what you were doing when you ask.
