Accepting an invitation
An invitation email is how you get into Elie — there is no sign-up page. Opening the link in that email creates your account and hands you a temporary password for one sign-in. The address the email went to becomes the name you sign in with.
Steps
Look for a plain-text email with the subject You've been invited to ELIE. Its one link is valid for seven days.
Select the link. Opening the page accepts the invitation — there is no button to press, and it works only once.
The Invitation accepted card shows a Temporary password in a read-only box. Select the copy button beside it and store the password somewhere safe before you leave the page.
Select Go to sign in, then sign in with the address the invitation was sent to and the temporary password — see Signing in.
A Reset Password step follows immediately. Fill in New password and Re-enter password, then select Set Password — it stays disabled until both are filled in. The step cannot be skipped.
What success looks like
- The Invitation accepted card appears, with a Temporary password you can copy.
- Copied to clipboard confirms the copy, and the icon turns to a tick briefly.
- After you set your own password, the app opens and your name appears in the header.
The link works only once
Accepting happens as the page loads, so the link is spent on the first visit. Reloading it, or returning with the Back button, shows Invitation could not be accepted even though your account was created. The temporary password is shown once, in plain text, and cannot be retrieved afterwards — copy it first, and avoid accepting an invitation on a shared screen.
If something goes wrong
