Uploading documents
Uploading is two moves: stage the files you want, then save the batch. Nothing starts processing until you save.
:::caution An orchestrator must exist first You upload into an orchestrator, so create one before you start — see Orchestrator basics. :::
- The IntelieDocs module visible in your left-hand navigation.
- An orchestrator to upload into — the upload page is only reachable from an orchestrator’s document list.
If IntelieDocs isn't in your navigation, your role doesn't have visibility for it — ask a workspace administrator, or see Permissions and module visibility.
Steps
Open the orchestrator these documents belong to, then select Upload Document in its list header.
Select Choose a file or drag it here, or drop files onto it. Supported types and Up to 5 MB per file are printed underneath; stage as many as you like. Refused files raise a warning and never stage.
Select a staged file to switch on Settings: Add to Group: files it with related documents; PDF Password: unlocks a protected PDF. Apply to all documents copies a choice across the batch.
Select Save All Documents. It reads Saving… while each row shows a spinner, then a green tick, or a red icon whose tooltip gives the reason it failed.
What success looks like
- A success toast counts what uploaded, and the upload page closes.
- You land back on the orchestrator’s document list with the new rows on it.
- Each document opens at Processing. That list never refreshes itself — select Refresh to see the status move on.
Word files take longer
A .docx is converted before intake accepts it, so its row can spin for up to a minute and a half. Leave the page open: navigating away with unsaved files raises Unsaved Changes, where No, Stay lets the batch finish.
If something goes wrong
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A warning ends is not a supported file type. | The format is not on the Supported types list. | Re-save it as a supported type. GIFs are always refused. |
| A warning ends exceeds the 5 MB limit. | The file is over the per-file cap. | Split or compress it — nothing was staged or uploaded. |
| A row shows a red icon and Upload failed. | That one file did not go through. | Hover for the reason, then select Retry Failed, which skips files already done. |
| All uploads failed. Check the files and try again. | Nothing in the batch reached storage. | The files stay staged — fix them and save again. |
