The staff console
The staff console is where platform staff manage tenants — the organisations that use Elie. It is a separate application from the tenant workspace, with its own address and its own sign-in, so signing in here does not sign you in there.
It manages organisations, not their content. Documents, knowledge bases, workflows and a tenant's own people all belong to that tenant's users, who manage them inside the tenant application — see What is Elie and Managing users.
What the dashboard shows
The console opens on Overview, and Overview is five cards — nothing else. Each card counts tenants, and selecting one opens the tenant list: filtered to that status, or unfiltered for Total Tenants.
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Total Tenants | Every tenant on the platform. |
| Active Tenants | Tenants whose status is Active — their users can sign in. |
| Suspended Tenants | Tenants whose status is Suspended — deactivated, so their users are blocked from signing in. |
| Deleted Tenants | Tenants whose status is Deleted. You can open one, but not change it. |
| Offboarding Tenants | Tenants whose status is Offboarding. Also read-only. |
The cards appear once the counts load. If they cannot be fetched, the page reads Couldn't load tenant data. with a Try again button.
What you can do here
Open the tenant list by selecting a card, or from the panel headed Available Apps that opens from the far left of the top bar. Eliehub, beside it, returns you to Overview.
| To do this | Read |
|---|---|
| Sign in, and understand why you were signed out | Signing in |
| Search the tenant list, then open one tenant and read its details | Finding a tenant |
| Grant or revoke a component and feature for one tenant | Entitlements |
| Let a tenant's users sign in through their own identity provider | Gateways |
| Invite an administrator into a tenant by email | Inviting an admin |
| Deactivate a tenant, or activate it again | Deactivate or reactivate |
Tenant Details, Entitlements and Gateways are not separate areas of the console: each is a section of a single tenant's page, chosen from the Settings sidebar that appears once you open that tenant.
